Happy Valentine's Day

This is my baby daughter.   Pretty, isn't she?  She was a bridesmaid for one of her best friends.  She will be a bride herself this summer.  I did this page up first, and then looked for a picture for it.  I came across this picture and the coloring, etc was PERFECT!!!  I used a kit from
DELICIOUS SCRAPS  called "Sweet Valentine."  It's a great kit--not your usual everything red.

Bermuda

My daughter and her husband went on a company trip last summer to Bermuda.  She was pregnant at the time, so she couldn't participate in all the activities and had to watch her diet because of gestational diabetes, but they both had a wonderful time.  They loved the island and the people and would love to go back again some day.  For my layout, I used a FREE kit from
DELICIOUS SCRAPS called "Spring" mini kit.  I recolored the flower into lots of different colors to give my page a tropical look.

Season's Greetings

Wow!  It's been a while since I posted here.  I had no idea it had been this long.  The days are flying by faster each week!  Christmas will be here sooner than I expected.  But first we will be welcoming a new addition in the form of a baby grandson due next week.   So exciting!  Meanwhile, his 'big sister" is eating a candy cane in this layout.  I used some Stampin Up digital papers I got recently.  Such a pretty collection for the holidays.

Real Cowboys

Oh my Gosh!  Prairie Fairy Designs just came out with these TOTALLY ADORABLE cowboy and cowgirl images.  They fit well with the Giddyup kit from Nitwit Creations, which I have had for a few years.  The picture is my grandson who was visiting a real Texas ranch.
Run, don't walk, to Prairie Fairy Designs and check out these awesome images along with several other new ones that have been added to the store.

Fairy Fun Friday

Well, here I am at almost 10:30 pm FINALLY getting a minute to post my project for this week's challenge. The last two days have been crazy! First my 3 year old granddaughter got sick (allergy/cold/ear stuff). Both her parents work, so when she gets sick, it is grandma to the rescue. Well, we did crafts, we baked cookies, we did crafts again, we rocked in grandpa's chair, we did make-up, we hit the Mc Donald's drive thru, we played games on the computer. we played games on my Iphone, we watched BubbleGuppies--we did it ALL! She cried when it was time to go home. Little did she know that grandma would be babysitting again today! My son in law called at ten thirty last night that my daughter (who is seven months pregnant) FELL and could I come over today and babysit her AND my granddaughter. My daughter avoided falling on her stomach by takiing it all on her knee. She was in some major pain last night and today. Soooo BOTH grandmas were called to duty--me to babysit and the other to substitue teach my daughter's fourth graders. I am exhausted.

Anyway, the theme for this week's Fun Friday challenge is "Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice" and you can find it HERE at the Fairy Fun Friday blog. Our hostess is Dorte, and there are some darling projects from the Fairy Princesses. You do NOT have to use a Prairie Fairy image and there are prizes!
Here is my project. It is the granddaughter I have been talking about. A friend of my son's sent her all this candy because she had just gotten her ears pierced. I used FotoFusion softwear to do the page, and used some digital papers from Stampin'Up. Of course that ADORABLE image of the "sugar fairy" is from Prarie Fairy. You can her, along with lots of other totally sweet images HERE.

Prairie Fairy Friday

Well, I thought this had posted a week ago, but I now find out that I evidently forgot to include it here!!!
DUH!!   It is our latest Prairie Fairy Friday challenge and the theme is "Pink and Distressed."
I used Nurse Gillian to embellish the page, as she goes along so well with the picture.  My granddaughter LOVES band-aids, as you can see from the picture.  Disney Princess is her current favorite, but she will pretty much take anything.  Her mom is forever buying new boxes of them.  Her leg looks pretty "distressed" in the picture, but in reality, there isn't a scratch on her!
Come on by the Fairy Fun Friday Blog and check out the other projects from the design team and then link up to one of your own!  There are prizes!

These pictures of my grandson were perfect too! Hop on over to the PRAIRIE FAIRY FRIDAY blog and join the fun. There are prizes to win, and lots of samples to get you going.

Rollergirls

My daughter used to skate in the roller derby.  When I saw this new image from
PRAIRIE FAIRY, I knew it would be perfect with pics of the roller derby girls!
The papers and other embellishments are from Nitwit.  Prairie Fairy has lots of new images in the works, so be sure to go and have a look and check back often!  These images are great for cards, scrapbook layouts, and other projects.

Prairie Fairy Fun Friday

It's time for another challenge over at the Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge Blog. Our hostess this week is Tracey and she came up with a sketch for us to follow.

I really love this layout and our Princesses came up with some fantastic cards. I decided to mix things up a bit and use the design for a scrapbook page layout instead.

This is my granddaughter, who loves to be "girly" but also is a real tuffy, having two brothers.
I love this sweet Gilly image from PRAIRIE FAIRY DESIGNS. It's a perfect contrast to Jasmine's tomboy look. I used a scrapbooking kit from Nitwit Creations called Nevernot.
Come join the fun at our Friday Challenge. You do not have to use a Prairie Fairy image to play, and there are prizes to be won!!
